Love this shoji
Love this shoji! It was very easy to assemble and it looks great on my night stand. The trick is to showcase it at it's corners and not sides. That way you get more light. It did not come with a bulb and I use a white light bulb which makes the print of the storks look a little blurry. But that was my choice to use the type of bulb.

Can't be put together
It is a pretty lamp, crane design is lovely, but could not force the top piece into place, and the piece holding the bulb stuck out on the sides. In other words, the manufacturer did a poor job with the parts, which just don't fit together. The top is just a wood frame with glued cardboard to go across, with a circular hole that was poorly hand-cut to let out heat. I expected a lattice type top or at least something nicer — and the cardboard wasn't even clean. Because of the cost of the lamp — $57! — and its small size, I did not expect it to arrive in pieces. Will be returning it.
