Feeding Weaning Pups: Start puppies on Beneful Healthy Puppy dog food as early as the begin to nibble at solid foods, generally at 3-4 weeks of age. Feeding for Reproduction: Beneful Puppy dog food provides the extra nutrition needed by reproducing females in stages of gestation and lactation. Food consumption may vary during gestation, so feed the amount needed to maintain the pregnant female's good body condition. Food intake may double or even quadruple during lactation. Feeding Tip: When switching your dog to Beneful Healthy Puppy dog food, please allow 7-10 days for the transition. Gradually add more Beneful Originals and less of the previous food to your dog's dish each day until the changeover is complete. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets. Provide adequate fresh water in a clean container daily. For your pet's health, see your veterinarian regularly. Feeding Adult Dogs: Most adult dogs can be fed once daily. However, when high activity or other factors create a higher feed intake, twice-a-day feeding is recommended. Dogs should be maintained in ideal body condition and not allowed to become overweight. The food intake required to maintain ideal body condition will vary, depending on age, activity and environment. Consequently, the amount of food required for each dog will vary and should be adjusted accordingly. Store in a cool, dry place.
Feeding Instructions
Feeding -Weaning Puppies start to nibble on solid foods at 3 - 4 weeks of age. Keep moistened Beneful Healthy Puppy (three parts kibble to one part water) available to puppies at all times until fully weaned (6 - 8 weeks of age). Feeding Growing Pups-After weaning, Beneful Healthy Puppy can be fed moistened or dry at the same time every day - very young puppies three times a day, older puppies twice a day. Use the feeding guidelines shown here, but remember individual needs can vary. Feed to maintain ideal body condition as shown. Slight appetite changes and occasional digestive upsets are normal in puppies. If upsets become severe or linger longer than a day or two, contact your veterinarian.Feeding for Reproduction- Beneful Healthy Puppy provides the extra nutrition needed by reproducing females in stages of gestation and lactation. I am feeding a stray dog that is very thin, and I chose this puppy food since puppy food has more calories than adult food! He absolutely LOVES it!! He always comes to eat between midnight and 5:00 AM so I don't get to see him in person, but he's right in front of my ring camera, so I can say least watch him eat. :) Hopefully he'll begin to trust me a little bit soon, and I can love on him. For now, he's extremely skittish. Runs at any noise or movement. At least I know he's being fed daily with something he really likes!! The pieces are tiny, for puppies, obviously, and he's a bigger dog (Australian shepherd mix?) but he absolutely loves this food! My rescue dog is 4 years old and she loves it too!! I give her a handful of it on her high end food, and she scarfs it down!! Leaving her expensive high quality food in the bowl! lol
