It catches a lot of crap from the coolant.

I installed this filter in my 67 Mustang that hadn't run in 25 years. There was so much gunk and rust in the cooling system, it clogged my newly rodded radiator. This filter has caught plenty of crap that would otherwise clog the radiator again. It's well designed and made, easy to install and well worth the $.

Preventative assurance..

Very nice.. I have a brand new aluminum radiator and running a non rebuilt motor. When I pulled the freeze plugs there was some crud .. I don't want to gunk up the radiator….
