Key item features

  • KYDZSafe edges - Each and every one of our edges and corners are rounded to a minimum of a 1 inch radius, allowing children to play safely without getting hurt by sharp edges and corners.
  • KYDZStrong construction - at Jonti-Craft, we employ dowel-pin construction. This technique is stronger than the dado joints used by other companies and prevents weakening at the joint, where most stress occurs and extends lifetime by 50%.
  • KYDZTuff finish - It's an ultravoilet acrylic coating that's as tough as the finish on bowling lanes and is enviromentally friendly too! It's an ultra-durable finish that resists yellowing and extra-strong resistance for daily wear.
  • TRUEdge - this is a permanently thermo-fused edge that will last as long as the product does, unlike t-molding that separates and then causes damage and moisture.
  • Heavy-duty, locking casters for mobility

Quality Kids Desk

I was looking for a long table-like desk for both of my kids to sit at in one room (they are close in age). I eventually found this desk, and after thinking it was far too expensive, after some research, discovered the price was actually in line and bought it. I'm glad I did. It is solid wood, heavy, and very well built. In fact, I think it's probably made for a commercial/school setting rather than in-home use, as for me. It will last far beyond my kids' use. The height is adjustable as they grow, and sits two comfortably side-by-side. There is a cord hole in front of each side for computer cables. It does take a bit of screwing to get it together, but it's solid. The top part of the desk (writing area) is not an actual wood finish, but rather a laminate substance that is resistant to ink, markers, indentations, etc. I think the top will last longer than regular wood, which would get all dinged up or have indentations of various writings. I added a couple of clear protectors in front of each kid, which has worked really well. See picture. Although pricey, I'm very happy with his purchase, and it looks and works great. Lots of other parents comment on it too, in a good way.
