A friend of mine posted the picture of this jar on his Facebook page, with only a question, "Tired of mosquito bites?" without explaining how to use the Shea butter. Since I have been bitten so many times this summer, I immediately ordered it. It took a week to arrive. When I tried to use it as a mosquito repellant, it did not work. However, it works wonders when I dab it generously on fresh, itchy mosquito bites. For me, it's better than the citronella stick because it has a pleasant, light scent, as opposed to the powerful scent of citronella. It is extremely helpful when I need to go out in public so that I would not overwhelm others with citronella scent. I did not order the butter for smooth skin, so I cannot discuss it as a body butter. Thank you!
