Logitech MX Master Mouse

Having used the Performance MX version for a number of years (works flawlessly) I decided to try the 'step-up' Master MX3. After reading many reviews of this $99 model, in one of those reviews I saw a reference to the previous MX2s, which compared the two and posed the question: "Is the MX3 worth the additional $40?" The respondent stated "no". Based on that advice (and with the dollar amount being important) I chose the MX 2s. I've used it for over a week now and I love it! Yes, the horizontal scroll wheel is smaller and the "forward-back" buttons a little harder to find with your thumb, it still works fine for my uses. The battery lights still indicate 'full-charge' after a week of daily use and the setup software resides nicely on my taskbar if I need to change a button assignment. The many options available for button assignments will more than meet the demands of most users. The mouse feels good under my palm with top, vertical scroll wheel falling just under my index finger as it should. As with my previous Performance MX, it can spin freely to navigate quickly from top to bottom of a page, or, if you choose, it can be set to accurately scroll one line (or even one pixel) at a time. For my digital photo retouching, I find this mouse to be an important tool in my everyday work.
