The runners are beautiful and easy care indoor/outdoor carpeting. It's ideal for a foyer, just hose them down (outside!) and they are clean. I have a very long foyer and ordered 2 and laid them one after the other. They did not cost a fortune. They have a flat weave that lessens the chance of tripping over the edge. Do use double sided rug tape to make sure they don't shift.
