Beautiful yarn, but a nightmare to work with

I bought this yarn to crochet a a Christmas gift. It comes in a hank which is not conducive to project flow, so I spent some time winding 2 of the 4 hanks into balls for ease of use. Hank #1 took me 8 HOURS to wind into a ball. It got so tangled and fuzzy. I ended up losing a few yards that I cut off out of frustration. The 2nd hank took me 4 hours to wind. Less hassle that time around, but entirely too long. I attempted to start my project last week, and gave up on row 2. The yarn is fuzzy and the fuzz catches on itself, creating knots and tangles. I ended up scrapping it and am looking for alternatives. I would actually give this yarn 0 stars.
