Practical and Nice looking bed.
My bed came carefully packed in 5 different boxes. There's a few flaws in the finish but nothing I can't live with. No scratches or cracks. This is not a quick set up so give yourself plenty of time for the build. We got tricked while putting the real sports onto the headboard. There IS a right way and a wrong way. Be sure that the bigger rail slot is facing forward on the headboard. the drawers were super easy to assemble. This isn't a light piece of furniture! But it really is pretty. If you like having storage around your bed you'll appreciate this design. Oh- and if you're buying a new mattress (one that doesn't require a box spring) a 10" high mattress should be a perfect fit.

So far, so good...
My 5 1/2 yr old daughter just got this bed, to fit with her sisters' large bunk beds. She loves it. It fit perfectly into the small space we had, and we love the simplicity. The bookcase aspect is a huge plus, housing her stuffies now, and books later.
