VERY IMPRESSED WITH THIS GRAPPLER G2

First, let me qualify this review by establishing the fact that this is the first set of All- Terrain tires I've ever purchased. Generally I'm a German car fanatic who drives an Audi S4 as a daily and has owned nothing but VW's and BMWs over the past couple decades. I do tend to put aftermarket wheels and tires on every car but have only familiarized myself with the UHP tire market as a result. On my wife's SUV's, I've always gone with All-Seasons... So to make a long story short, I was very apprehensive about putting AT tires on my wife's daily driver SUV. Would they ride harsh? Would they be too loud? Would the knobby tread pattern cause steering wheel vibration? Man!! I was so happy to find that these Grappler G2's were everything I could've hoped for and more. We only use the truck in the city/freeway and on an occasional camping trip where we tow a large Pop-Up Camper, so the off road prowess of the tire was really irrelevant for us. It was all about if we, meaning mainly my wife, could live with the sound and comfort. And they really shine in both categories... Super smooth running, and very quiet overall. At lower speeds around 30-40mph there is some noticeable sound but nothing unacceptable. If the windows are up it's almost identical in sound to the stock Continentals. When the windows are down there is some noise as the tires warm up, but again, nothing unacceptable what-so-ever. The wife never mentioned the words loud or uncomfortable... And the look? Fantastic! Very nice looking set of rubber if you want a "meaner" more aggressive look to enhance your rim choice. I was torn between the Cooper Zeon LTZ and this Grappler G2, both highly rated, great looking tires in my opinion. After having a set of both mounted, I found that the Nitto had a "rounder" sidewall profile compared to the Zeon's more "square looking" sidewall to tread patch look. For an SUV, I prefer the rounder look. Cooper also didn't have as many available sizes in a 20" tire, so Nitto was the obvious choice in 265/50/20. Couldn't be happier. We took the truck on a quick little trip to KC from Omaha last weekend and rode at 80-85 most of the way. Super smooth on the interstate and not much noticeable change in MPG sold me even further...The additional width over the stock set has also stabilized the famous Land Rover top heavy feel as well. They have a 65,000 mile warranty. If I get half that I'll feel like I'll have gotten my money's worth... Great tire.

90K miles later

Well this tires have been impressive!! Before I purchased this tires I kept getting flats every time I would go hunting on the rough rocky terrain of terlingua ranch in west Texas, so I needed something that could drive great on the highway while pulling a trailer with a Polaris ranger and being able to handle the hard terrain at the same time. I just left discount tire with some new Ridge gramplers and I am hoping they will be as good as the terra

3rd Set

Just installed my 3rd set of these tires and all have proved great service. I am getting close to 70k miles per set and in all these miles I have had only one slow leak because of a nail. I hunt in some rough country and put a lot of highway miles on getting there. Great tires.
