I have been using these stockings to keep my lymphedema under control for many years. They are the best thing I have ever found. I modify them to work for me. Please never make the legs of size X-tall or tall any looser, since they are just right. I have lymphedema in my right thigh. The swelling is mainly from the knee to the waist only on my right side. I am slim and tall but due to lymphedema my mid-section bloats with lymphatic fluid daily. Thus the waist band is too tight. This ruined my digestion and gave me GERD. Now I carefully remove the elastic with a raiser, but I leave the self edge of the stocking intact. It is just the right tightness. I then use your skin glue to keep the stockings up on the tops of the legs. This prevents a line on my leg where the loose knitting begins. Please never make the feet any wider or shorter than they are. I can cope with them this way but the feet are a bit too wide and too short for my shoe size so they scrunch my toes. I have size 11 narrow feet. Each time I buy these stockings I order about 14 pairs. I wash them weekly in bags in my washing machine on gentle with cold water and hang in doors to dry. I also purchase one size smaller (tall) and cut them off at the knee. I wear them double over the long ones to provide extra compression for my right thigh. (One pair does not keep the swelling down.) I use your knee-high socks to provide extra compression for my legs from knee down. I cut the toes off so the long stockings under them don’t bend my toes when I pull the socks on. All the items I purchase from your company help me to keep this terrible problem under control. A visiting nurse told me I am the only person with lymphedema in San Diego County who is coping with this problem and still has a life. the rest of them spend all day and all night lying in their recliners. I am an 88-year-old garden expert, former TV personality, author, public speaker and lifelong painter. Please don’t change these stockings since I need them so much.
