I was introduced to this item in the first aid kit at work and happy to find that I could order them online for home use through Walmart. I have used these to remove both wood and metal splinters. I love that they come in a sterile one-time use pack. The pin part is good for getting exactly where you need and then the side part can be used to push the splinter out of the skin. I found them for a good price for the 2-pack and will keep one in each first aid kit for home and camping.

Practical and sterile
My husband works with lumber quite a bit and gets splinters in his hands. These are the best tools to use when trying to get a splinter out. They don't break the splinter like pins can. And they are more sterile. I really like using these and will always keep some in the first aid kit
