Good equipment; but Ketone Test Strips are cheaper

No KetoSens control solution to test accuracy. Only has 10 strips and 10 lancets per case. (In contrast, my ReliOn Blood Glucose Monitoring kit has 100 test strips.) I got a similar ketone result by using a Ketone Test Strip, which is a lot cheaper.

Knowledge on a budget

I now know what my blood ketone level is without going to my doctor and have him order lab work. Budget meter that seems be on par with ketone urine strip tests. Because I drink a LOT of water, I wanted to see if my blood ketones were actually higher than the urine strips indicated. I do understand that the strips have to be protected from heat and humidity, but the individual packages are a bit cumbersome to work with. Just make sure to open just before you lance your finger to draw the blood sample!
