So one thing you will notice in the picture is that the slot holes are vertical, meanwhile the product I received had horizontal slots. This seems like a trivial difference, but what ended up happening is that the backing plate cannot be used with socket or hex head bolts because it interferes. Should be able to work fine if your license plate is mounted with screws, but in my case those few extra millimeters matter
