The Unseen Realm: Recovering the Supernatural Worldview of the Bible (Hardcover)

I found Dr. Heiser through another podcast and I found his scholarly work and thoughts very informative. If you are a student of the Bible and the Scriptures you might find his work fascinating. It is very engaging and was written in a way that allows a lay person to understand more about the Bible. His explanation are pretty easy to follow and have come to love more the Bible stories that have always fascinated me since I was young. The supernatural part was the missing piece. Why it was never even touched on mainstream church and Sunday school teaching is something I do not understand until I found this book and Dr. Heiser and his teachings. I knew that there is something more to the Bible and the Scriptures than just what men had written inspired by God and the Unseen Realm made this possible for me to find some of the answers to my thirst and quest for knowledge. This book has made me go back again to reading the Bible. One of the most fascinating scholar I've ever followed and listened to and I'm glad I was able to find this book and his other works. I will surely miss this wonderful author because he lead me back to my Bible and the Holy Scriptures. I also like the fact that there are footnotes and it allows me the chance to chase after more information and dig deeper. I also appreciated that in each section, there's always a summary. So you can decide to read the section summary first or jump into the meaty part of the book whatever is your personal reading style preferences.

Easy to read and understand yet the information presented is backed by doctrinal thesis work. After reading the first 20 pages I was already ordering more books to send to family and friends. As I continued to read, I understood the great need for this information to be disseminated to all who read the Bible. “After you go to Israel, you will never be the same“… the same thing can be said about reading this book.
