Honeywell TH4210U2002 T4 Pro Programmable Thermostat 2H/1C 1H/1C

The only reason for not getting 5 stars is because the vendor did not send the exact model number that I order. They redeemed themselves by providing timely and accurate technical support. With their support I was able to install the new thermostat without making any mounting or wiring changes. They walked me through the initial setup and programming to make the necessary adjustments.

My contractor installed this thermostat. It gets the basic job done, however the lack of deadband control is a deficiency and causes excessive/unnecessary compressor cycling. Example scenario: - room temperature is stable/steady state at 73 F with thermostat off - select thermostat cool mode with setpoint at 72 F - thermostat calls for cooling and air handler and AC compressor engage - 3 minutes later, the thermostat cancels the call for cooling - 5 minutes later, the thermostat calls for cooling again! I'm going to buy a better thermostat with more control features including deadband setting and temperature sensor filtering/smoothing.
