Boo Ray begins his first adventure by helping Willy Whelp-a woodcutter and his family fight off an evil dark knight. Through the power of magical love, they are set free from the evil knight, who now understands that scaring people is very wrong.
The first chapter ends with,

In the next chapter, Boo Ray finds a screaming rock begging Boo Ray to set her free! A sorcerer known as Master Zulu was so hurt and angry after a horrible fight with a girl named Zim Zim. But as time passed, his anger was replaced by a sad loneliness and a deep longing for friendship. When Zim Zim and Master Zulu finally forgive each other, Zim Zim is set free from the rock. Zim Zim then emerges as a beautiful girl genie who helps Boo Ray in many adventures to come!
