I purchased this set after using them at my daughter's home. I had an old Farberware set that when new, never compared to these knives. This set is made with quality materials. The blades are very sharp so be careful. You won't be used to using top quality knives at first. Wash by hand to keep them in tip top shape!

The knives came all sharp as a razor blade, and the balance and feel of them as you are preparing food is excellent. The" through the handle" all steel construction is top notch. Handles are large enough the really get a good grip. Bought this as a Anniversary Present for my wife and I, and couldn't be happier!
