Pflueger Supreme Xt 30 Spinning Reel

I had read all the reviews on this reel and decided to purchase this one. This reel is a lot more expense than what I usually spend on a reel, but with Wal Marts Price and their great service I decided to go ahead with buying this reel. No regrets. Used it this morning for the first time and put a 6lb. Bass in the kayak. The reel was smooth and I had no issues with wind knots and tangled line. It is loaded with 8lb. Trilene XL for right now to see how it does compared to 8lb. Stren line. Fit and finish on the reel is first rate. Do your homework online and read all the reviews and comparison shop all the vendors for this reel. I found at the time of my purchase (11-16) that Wal Mart was the place to buy this reel on line. Plus, free shipping. The size 30 was the right size on a modified 6 ft. rod to use in a kayak. One thing also, this reel is Salt Water approved so it should last a long time in fresh water fishing.

Excellent Spinning Reel for Dropshot

I bought this reel and shipped it to SO for a tournament I was fishing in. I chose this reel to use with Dropshot. I put 15lb Braid with a 12lb flour leader. I caught multiple 2-3 pound spotted bass and a 3lb largemouth. The drag was very smooth and In really like the 6.2 gear ratio for fast retrieves. I had never purchased one of these reels before but I certainly will be buying more. Great value for the money!!
