Alive the rod and reel combo , took it to the spillway and hooked into a monster. Was not ready for. Had 20lbs braid slip bobber setup and what hit was not what was expected. Fell on the rock trying to get it in only to have it get off by straightening the hook. Needless to say the Rod tip didn't make it. Sucks but everyone that was out there saw me give it a good fight till I fell….lol

Best rod I have ever owned.

This has to be hands down the best rod I have ever had. I am so thankful that I bought the elite over the regular Ugly Stix. I took the rod out on opening day and my five year old daughter caught her first ever fish using this rod. I hope to have this rod for many years to come because of the excellent quality and for the priceless memory I have of my daughter recalling in her first fish and the first ever caught on the Ugly Stix Elite.

This combo is extremely lightweight and fun to fish with.It has no Anti-reverse,but i never know what that feature is for anyways so it doesn't bug me.This pole is IMO best for panfish like sunnies and crappies,make the fight much more fun.Also usable for bigger game like Largemouth Bass.Very pleased with purchase.Would buy same exact combo without hesistation.Great price too.Team Ugly Stik 4 Life!!!
