I chose this Ringside Pro Style Training Glove because I want to start kickboxing as a workout. I have larger hands for a female so I chose this L/LX size. When it first arrived I thought it was going to be too large for my hands because they look humongous. However, when I slipped them on, it fitted just right. They are true to size. It is very comfortable and my hands do not sweat inside of them. The padding is really thick and that should add extra protection for your hands. I also like the wrap that goes around your wrist to keep the glove secure. You can adjust it to your comfort level. The color is nice and it doesn't look too girly.
