I read several reviews, some good some bad but decided to give this hand held a try. I want corded because I done like to get 1/2 through a job and lose power. I used this first on upholstered furniture. WOW!!!! the amount of power and suction this little thing has is really impressive. Next used it in the car and same results. I would highly recommend this.

THIS VAC IS INCREDIBLE. USED IT FIRST THING ON OFFICE CHAIR AND SOFA IN BASEMENT THAT HAS NOT BEEN CLEANED IN YEARS. HAD TO DUMP CANNISTER 3 TIMES. IT REALLY SUCKS UP THE DUST, HAIR, AND DIRT. SO IMPRESSED I BOUGHT THE STICK VERSION SO I CAN VACUUM ALL THE FLOORS.

Rocket Power!

I was in the market for a handheld vac to help with cleaning up pet hair and getting in those tight awkward spots you just can't get into with a regular vac. After doing my research on various models, I purchased the Shark Rocket Corded Handheld Vacuum, model HV292. I definitely have to say this baby delivered! It actually has better suction than my upright vac (definitely time to replace this one) and works great on pet hair. It's not as heavy as it looks and all the tools that came with it made a big difference. The only thing I'd change on it would be a longer cord but beyond that, I'm quite happy with it. A retractable cord would be nice as well but that would probably add to the overall weight of the unit. No regrets (yet) with this purchase, at all.
