Our son is 10 months old tomorrow and I am hoping this will help him crawl but right now his knees can barely touch the floor when on his stomach on this, so he pushes himself backwards using his hands~ I do love that it doesn't allow/makes it difficult for him to roll off of it since he prefers rolling everywhere. The pamphlet inside said that it comes with a free teether, but I didn't see a teether in the box
