CONRADER Throttle Control Cable BULLWHIP for Gas AIR COMPRESSORS 8HP to 14HP (18" Cable) Throttle Control Cables act like a relay between your unloader/pilot valve and the throttle arm on your engine. Your unloader/Pilot valve will have a preset on/off pressure. When the air tank drops below the lower pressure setting of the pilot unloader valve, the pilot valve will relay through the throttle control to your engine that its time to cycle ON. Once tank pressure reaches the higher PSI rating on your pilot unloader valve, the pilot valve will relay through the throttle control to your engine that its time to cut OFF. Throttle control cables are just a means for the pilot unloader valve to communicate to the engine when its time to cycle on, or idle off. >>> Conrader Cable Style Throttle Controls are mounted on the pilot valve or elsewhere on the compressor and the cable end is connected to the engine throttle arm. These are of brass construction with viton seals, stainless steel springs, and stainless steel cable. The cable is permanently lubricated and is self cleaning.
