Nice, but smaller than it appears

I purchased this bed for a guest room. It is much smaller than I was expecting. I purchased an 8 inch mattress for it which helps to raise it up and am planning to put a 5 inch boxspring to get it up to an adult level. The bed was very easy to assemble. It doesn't squeak like some metal beds. I will be purchasing another to match it. This bed would be perfect for a child to younger teen.
