Using the GUI is sometimes awkward

I understand why a tuner can't be included anymore in the digital-tv age (but analog ch.3 [in and out] would have made it more compatible with the machine it replaces in my system). I have had several missteps setting the timer recording feature, perhaps if it were my first vcr I would have learned the procedure more quickly. The internal clock [for timer record] runs a little slow about 20 sec. per week. (my other machines run a little fast). So tweaking that setting is needed more often.
