The Syba portable VGA to HDMI converter with audio support allows you to upscale analog VGA signals to digital HDMI signals. The converter will take audio from the computer sound card and embed it to the HDMI output along with video signal making it ideal for connecting PCs and laptops to HDMI displays such as HDTVs. This converter is NOT bi-directional. It only converts from VGA to HDMI.

Piece of junk
Don't buy this unit; it's a "Junk Gadget". It does not support the capabilities/specifications as advertised. With manual tweaking and coaxing of the source PC video settings, the unit will "sometimes" convert a low-resolution VGA format to HDMI (1280 and below). However, once anything is turned off then turned back on, this unit returns to "stupid" mode and needs to be tweaked and coaxing again to operate. It completely fails to run on any resolution higher than 1600. It had the same poor performance on three different PCs. A total UNSATISFACTORY unit.
