OVERVIEW
The Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position is a high performance summer tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs.
The tire offers excellent summer weather traction and it grips the road well in dry and wet road conditions. The silica enhanced tire compound enables this exceptional road gripping ability. The tread design's circumferential grooves help eliminate water from below the footprint and help avoid dangerous hydroplaning situations. The tire is safe to be used in both dry and wet conditions thanks to these aspects.
The handling of the tire was also made easier. The outer shoulder blocks boost the precision and the responsiveness of the steering. As the tire is more responsive to the commands of the driver, the steering becomes safer to control. The tire is swift and accurate in its response to the driver, making it excellent for high speed driving, and it provides good road feedback as well. The shortened braking distance of the tire also helps increase the high speed safety. The tire's excellent dry and wet road grip create friction during braking, which enables the tire to stop shorter. The high speed driving ability of the tire was further improved with its excellent stability. The tire's reinforced sidewalls maintain the tire's shape even under the pressure of high speed driving. Great tire for those who live in the hot rainy south eastern
Great tires for those who live in heavy rain states, but want awsome handling performance. Rain comes down in buckets here in alabama, but these tires I have had no issue with hydroplaning. I replaced some nitto invos with these. These have about same water performance as the invos which both tires in my book are the top two currently on the market. Way better than even the pirelli p-zero. As for dry performance, they was a little soft on cornering when first installed. After 1,000 miles they seated in good and dont feel like they shifted some in heavy cornering. Tread life has been really good so far even under daily abuse in the corners. For road noise, the wider setup I have 20"x11" 285 30 20 in the rear is some noisy. quieter than the P-zero, but louder than the Invos. The 255 30 20 in the front is not even noticeable. Overall a awsome tire, and holding up well. More road noise than the invos but longer treadlife with same A+++ performance wet and dry. Almost forgot the thing that sold me on these. I have a slight negative camber on my rear tires with them being as big and wide as they are. These tires have a harder, more protective inner sidewall that protects for just this problem. The invos and p-zeros dont have this and wear out much faster on inside tread. This definetly works, as my inner tread has held up beautifully so far. There are markings on the tire which tell the side that goes on the inside of the rim and the outside. make sure installer gets this right. The tires arent dirrectional, so they can be rotated on staggered setups.

Great match for this car!
As you know the OEM tires for this car were the Michelin Primacy HP summer tires. They were good. I am not a drifter. I want to stick and drive in fast and deep into the nasty curves in Western NC. After 30K miles it was time to change tires. The S-04 Potenza tires have brought this car to another level. The turn in is spot on and very predictable. Even with the VSC off these tires have yet to break loose. After putting these tires on my BRZ it has been like an injection of super thrill . I have about 2000 miles on these tires including the Tail of the Dragon, NC28, and the BRP. These are places I have driven for many years and this combination of car and tire is most excellent. Every road and every curve is a new experience even though I have been there many, many times. At this time I don't care about mileage as much as I want the best handling possible. If I get 40K out of these tires I'll be happy. I am already happy with the improvement in performance because, let's face it wen you buy a BRZ the only thing that matters is performance. Anything else like a smoother and quieter ride is just gravy. I recommend these tires to anyone with a performance car who wants to stick to the road like glue and use every curve as a launching pad for the next one. Okami

Amazing grip
I bought these tires for my AWD Talon. They are amazingly grippy in both dry and wet conditions. I haven't been able to get these to break loose around a turn yet and I"VE TRIED VERY HARD. Even on wet asphalt, these don;t loose grip. I've done full launches at the track and they only let out a tiny chirp. AMAZING TIRE!!!!
