OVERVIEW
The Firestone Destination A/T is an all terrain all season tire manufactured for sport utility and light truck vehicles. Firestone offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.
The tire has first-rate all season traction. The tread pattern and the tire compound firmly grip the road surface in all weather and promote exceptional dry, wet and winter weather traction. The tread design cleans out mud and snow from between the tread elements and prevents hydroplaning by dispersing water from below the tire footprint. The better water evacuation, maintained clean footprint and excellent traction ensure a safer year round driving experience.
The tire performs well both on- and off-road, making it perfect for drivers looking for versatility in their vehicles. The tread pattern finds firm grip on all soft, loose and uneven road conditions, making it great for off-road use. The tread pattern's self-cleaning nature ejects rocks from between the tread elements and prevents rock retention that can damage the tire. The off-road drive is further enhanced with the L. L. Carbon reinforcement of the tread area, which makes the tire resistant to cracking, punctures and tearing.
The tire's internal structure maintains the optimal tire shape under the driving pressure. The spirally wrapped continuous nylon cap and the O-Bead structure, a single continuous strand of cable, improve the tire's uniformity by not allowing it to deform. The optimal tire shape allows the model to perform to its highest capability both on- and off-road, while also offers a comfortable, vibration-free driving experience on the road.
During on-road driving, the tire's tread design lowers the road noise heard in the vehicle's cabin. The five degree pitch variation negates the road noise heard while the tires are in motion. It creates a sound frequency that cancels out the road noise generated, making the drive quiet and comfortable.
The Destination A/T promotes a long tread life. The special L. L. Carbon compound creates an interconnected link throughout the tire's surface on a molecular level that distributes the driving pressure evenly across the tread area. This lowers the possibility of irregular tread wear and slows down the tread wear rate significantly. The L. L. Carbon also helps prevent damages to the tread area, making the drive safer.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
