What is Turmeric: 

Turmeric is a plant related to ginger that is grown throughout India, other parts of Asia, and Central America. It is sometimes called the ?Golden Spice? because of its yellow, earthy color. Turmeric use goes back over 5,000 years, utilized it as a fabric dye, seasoning spice, and an herbal remedy. Beyond its role as a seasoning, turmeric also contains health-promoting compounds called curcuminoids which have led to its use as a dietary supplement. 

What are Curcuminoids: 

Curcuminoids are antioxidants that have strong, natural anti-inflammatory benefits. Curcumin can also play a major role in supporting joint health. Given its role in promoting healthy inflammation response for physical overexertion, scientists are continuing to study turmeric for a variety of health benefits including the support of skin, brain, and gut health. Unfortunately, not all turmeric supplements are created equal.
