I read a lot of reviews on several brands of tires before settling on this set of tires. I am pleased to say they are fairly quiet going down the road like many other reviewers have mentioned. In this past week since having these tires mounted I've driven them on dry roads as well as snow and ice and they have done a fine job with the traction I expected. I'm in my 60's and have used many different brands of tires over the years. I am well satisfied with this set. When my other vehicles need tires I plan to purchase more of these General Altimax tires. I consider them a good value.

Great tire so far!

I replaced my worn Cooper CS5 with a set of these based upon favorable reviews from various online sources. I have them mounted on my 2009 Kia Optima and have driven them on dry, wet, and snow covered roads in Colorado. Overall I must say that I am very impressed with the tires and how they handle the wet and especially the snow. I cannot compare them to a dedicated winter tire, but they are so much better than my previous tires. In a few inches of snow I can accelerate and take turns with confidence. Granted I am driving slower, but still the traction is definite. If the tread life holds up, then the ~$100 / tire is a fantastic value.

Quiet ride & excellent in the rain!

I've bought Michelin's my whole life, but so far, these General tires are as good as Michelins. Quiet ride & excellent in the rain, and stick like glue to the road. All at 50% less the price. Michelin must need all that extra money to satisfy their advertising budget. Bought 4 for my Toyota Camry, then loved them so much by 2 weeks later I bought 4 more for my wife's Toyota Sienna. We live in Texas & have monster rain storms & speed limits of 75mph everywhere....they perform great!
