WECO CAT-1045 Catalytic Carbon 4 ½ " x 10" Filter Cartridge for Chlorine and Chloramine Reduction

We moved into a house that had an old big type filter. Had no idea when the cartridge was last changed. Called weco, sent them a few pictures of what we had and the guy immediately recommended having the filter disinfected and a new cartridge installed. We ordered the stuff off of the website and it took 4 days to get here. Called the tech again to get more instructions, got the solution in the sump, waited and flushed. Then installed this filter that looked like all plastic with charcoal inside. Tap water tastes awful in our neighborhood. However, once we installed, the odors and unpleasant tastes were all gone. Glad that I found them. Very knowledgeable staff that goes out of their way to help you.
