Pretty but too big

These earrings appear to be well made and look very pretty and sparkly, but they are HUGE. I bought them to potentially wear at my wedding, but they are a bit too much, too costume-y. My fiance liked them and thought they were fun but was a little horrified that I had bought them to wear to the wedding. Also, I don't know if my earring holes are just really small (I don't wear earrings that often) but I had a really hard time getting the posts to go through. Never happened to me before, it was weird.
