Sauder Palladia L-Shaped Desk, Wind Oak Finish

I wanted a new and stylish L shaped desk for my home office. Not too big, not too small, not dark oak . . . you get the picture. After many weeks of looking, I found this Sauder Desk and I am thrilled with it! I love the Glacier Oak color with the black top. Beautiful and modern. And I have to admit I didn't really pay attention to all of the details until we were putting it together - details you won't find on most other desks like this. It is well built and well designed. It came in a bazillion pieces BUT the directions were fantastic (and funny in places!). We kept saying, trust the process, and the directions led us to the right place every time! Having two people is likely essential to putting this together. The only thing was - as a desk I work at 8 hours (or more) a day, the keyboard drawer was a little tight to comfortably type AND have a mouse. I have shoulder problems, so it didn't work well for me, but I would think for others having the mouse on the desk top would likely work just fine. When I retire and I'm not typing all day long I'll probably use the keyboard drawer (always wanted one - it seems to finish off the design nicely. And even better than the design and quality? The customer service - they have been so incredibly helpful and quick to respond. THANK YOU!!

I like the color/finish coordination with the bookcase and file cabinets. Would have preferred 3 drawers on right side in lieu of very shallow drawer and door. Be prepared to spend all day assembling. At least one removable divider in drawers would have been helpful.
