Heartwarming Romance!

It's obvious that Kara Lockwood and Will McKenzie are perfect for each other, so why can't they recognize it themselves? Why, even three-year-old Maddox knows how special 'Miss Karwa' is. "Miss Karwa could be our cooker". Maddox grabbed Will's sleeve. "She can be your wife. Then you won't be sad anymore, and I won't go hungwy." His son turned to Kara. "Can I be your wittle boy?" This new book by Lisa Carter is the perfect summer read! It has characters that grab hold of your heart, adorable pets that you want for your own, and a sweet love story that will satisfy the most romantic soul. Yes, there are some misunderstandings, but in a place called Truelove, there will surely be a happily-ever-after! A Chance for the Newcomer is a heartwarming story with a wonderful faith message, and I recommend it to all who enjoy Christian romance. Grab a copy today! I received a complimentary copy of this book. There was no obligation for a positive review. These are my own thoughts.

Perfect 10

Kara is a newcomer to Truelove, North Carolina. She bought the Mason Jar Diner when she moved into town. Will is the fire chief of the Truelove Fire Department (TFD) and a single father. The Matchmakers are always on the lookout for people who connect over anything to set them up for their happy everafter. Will has a 3 year old son, Maddox, who is the perfect excuse for Will and Kara to spend time together. Will has to get past insecurities due to Maddox's mom and Kara has some secrets from her past, but the matchmakers love a challenge. Kara has made some changes to the menu at the Mason Jar and people do not like change. Will the changes make them run her out of town or are the changes just what they need? Will has some decisions to make too. The TFD is undergoing some changes. What is in store for his and his son's future? I was blessed to be able to review this for the wonderful Lisa Carter. She wanted only honest, personal reviews of her book. I loved it. I give it a perfect 10, she stuck her landing on this one, but don't just take my word for it, find out for yourself when you read the book.

Great Read

I have only read a few books by Lisa Carter so far but I will definitely say I have put her on my must read list. This book did not disappoint and not just because it is set in the mountains of North Carolina either. Kara Lockwood and Will McKenzie both have pasts that they need to come to terms with and leave in the past. Both of these characters will grab at your heart and have you rooting for them to finally open up their eyes to see they should be together. Also, Will's dad and son as well as Kara's foster mom make for some amazing secondary characters. This book had my attention from the beginning to the end.
