This bins are great for anything from a childs toy room to a workshop or even your kitchen. You can use them as a recycling center or to hold tools. Using in the kitchen you could put potatoes and onions in them to name a few veggies. In my workshop i have sand paper and sander in one and all my small parts boxes in the other.

The Akro-Mils Stack-N-Store bins allow you to do just that...stack and store..with ease. The bins are heavy duty; they do not weigh a lot but are thick rugged plastic which did not bend at all. One Akro-Mils bin is light, weighing 3 pounds and 8.8 ounces. The interior size of the bin is approximately 15 inches by 16 inches. After they are stacked the opening between the bins is about 4 inches by 11 inches, plenty of room to get items in and out without having to unstack the bins. There is a built in cut out handle underneath the top of each bin on each side. The handle groove is 4.03 inches by 0.88 inches. It was enough space to easily place by fingers to lift and carry the bins comfortably. These bins are an organizer's dream. They hold a multitude of items. It is never-ending what can be stored in them. In the garage, I stored extension cords in one and bungee cords in the other. With the Akro-Mils bins, I stored my old running shoes on the bottom bin and scarfs, hats, & gloves in the top bin. I even used these in the pantry not stacked to keep all my loose 1 lb teas pouches and 1 lb spice bags organized for better access. I can reach in and dig for the ones that I need instead of having to take the entire bin out of the cupboard. The only thing that could make the bin better for stacking and storing is if the top one had a lid so that anything could be placed on top to optimize any space left above the bin.
