Men's Altra Footwear Duo 1.5 Running Shoe

I was satisfied with the Duo but love the Duo 1.5!!! For me, it's a perfect choice for quality / uptempo running on longer runs and longer races of all types. The upper is improved and laces are much better. Very secure upper although I never feel it ... I honestly can't believe how light this is for the cushion and kick I get. Thank you for combatting the Hoka Clifton (and winning on weight & flexibility) for all of us Altra-toe-box lovers! Gravel, grass, roads are all fine and I'll probably use it even for some mixed trail racing - JFK50? Recovery, uptempo running, slow & fast long runs, everyday joy ... My new "if I can only pick one shoe" shoe unless I'm heading to the most rugged of mountains.

I purchased two pairs of these through running warehouse and I'm very surprised. The upgrade from the version 1 is wonderful, the upper is lighter and more flexible, it conforms to the foot when the laces are snuggled down and my feet don't tingle or go numb. The 2mm increase in stack is noticable with the increased support and energy return. The colorways are nice, I have the gray/red and the black/lime. Have about 65 miles on gray/red and 20 miles on black/lime. These are do it all shoe, from training runs to quick races, they are light enough to go at a fast pace with good form. One suggestion Altra... put a carbon fiber plate in these, so I can quit thinking about buying hoka and nike and also so you all can compete with their carbon plate models!!!!
