Lovely piece!

After years of living in old tenement buildings in Scotland, I was looking to bring a bit of that architectural history into my much more recently constructed home in Arizona. This piece really did a lot to glam up the high ceiling in my bedroom! Lightweight, well-made and easily installed.

Easy to work with

Got this for a dining room chandelier. It was my first time installing one of these and I ran into a few issues that were simple to correct. The electrical box in my ceiling wasn't sitting flat, so the medallion couldn't sit flush with the ceiling either. I wasn't sure how to remedy that at first without tearing out a section of drywall and starting another project so I took my dremel and shaved off a little of the inside of the medallion where the electrical box would hit. It worked like a charm. I didn't have to use anything to secure it other than the threaded washer that used to secure the canopy for the chandelier. It fit very flush even without any caulk, and I believe the box has to be accessible to be up to code so for now I'll leave it that way. Looks very elegant!
