Repeat Purchase!

Best Fan I have ever owned! This was a repeat purchase, bought one for the family room last year! When it came time to replace the master bedroom fan it was a no brainer, bought another Hinkley, couldn't be happier and no quiet. Customer for life!

Great Fan, but challenging instructions wrong hardware

I love the fan, but getting it installed was challenging. Seven of the 17 pages in the Instruction Manual were blank (pages 4, 5, 8, 9, 12, 13,16 and 17). So I downloaded the Instruction Manual from the Hinkley website. In the manual downloaded from the website page 4 describes the contents of the hardware bag and page 9 addresses the installation of the blades. These pages were blank in the manual included with the fan. Page 4 (missing from the Manual included with the fan) describes the contents of the hardware bag, showing "Blade to Blade Arm Screws w/ Lock Washers" and "Blade to Motor Screws and Rubber Washers". Depicted are a machine screw with a lock washer, and a machine screw with a large pan-head and a rubber washer. No quantities are listed. Page 9 (also missing from the Manual included with the fan) describes and pictures the attachment of the Blades to the Blade Arms with the "blade attachment screws and rubber washers". It also describes and pictures the attachment of the Blade Arms to the Motor with the "blade mounting screws". This is is the correct method for attaching the hardware that should be included in the hardware bag, and opposite the instructions on page 4. I found that the Screws w/Lock Washers actually attach the Blade Arms to the Motor and cannot be used to attach the Blades to the Blade Arms. The Screw with Lock Washers are too large to fit the holes tapped into the Blades, and their heads are so small that they pull through the holes in the Blade Arms. In the hardware bag included with the fan were 25 small-head machine screws with lock washers and NO pan-head machine screws with rubber washers. There should be 10 small-head machine screws with lock washers in the bag, 2 for attaching each of the 5 Blade Arms to the Motor. There should be 15 pan-head machine screws with rubber washers in the bag, 3 for attaching each of the 5 Fan Blades to the Fan Blade Arms. 6 months, 2 incorrect packages of hardware and slow responses from Hin
