Special Kitty Scoopable Tight Clumping Cat Litter, Fragrance Free, 14 lb

I used to buy the premium cat litter, but find that Special Kitty litter is just as good at a lower cost. I like to get unscented and dust free litter because the litter box is inside an enclosure and I don't want my cats breathing in dust and smell when they are going. I used to splurge on the fancy, expensive litters that 'look like diamonds,' but thought, why should I waste money on that when my cats are just pooping in it. It's not like they are singing about how beautiful their toilet is. Seems pretty stupid now. It comes in an easy to carry around plastic container with handle, which is especially beneficial with going up and down stairs. Another thing I have noticed is that the litter does not clump on my cat's paws nor do they track it around the house. I use filtering cat box liners and this litter filters through them nicely. Special Kitty is now my go-to litter and it is (thankfully) half the cost of the premium litters.

The only concern I have is that WM has increased the size of the container, which held 14 lbs of litter, to a larger size, 20 lbs. I am an old person who found the 14 pounder already very heavy to deal with so I'm not sure how I will deal with the heavier jug. Guess I'd better get out the old weights and get busy using them :-) This product has been a true value, and will last longer than you'd expect, as long as you go through it a couple of times a day. I have one cat and 2 litter boxes and kitty likes it very much and never messes anywhere else. This litter is without any perfume yet giving it reasonable care should get you a home without the smell of cat urine.
