When not in use, E track slots can become a magnet for dust and small objects that can damage your rail and undermine the value of your E track. To avoid that occurrence, use E track slot protectors to cover the slots and prevent foreign bodies from entering the slot and ruining the track. These slot protectors are 2¾” high and 1¼” wide and are made of a hard, durable plastic. To be mounted into the E track slots, they generally need to be banged in with a hammer. To be removed, they need a Phillips or other screwdriver to pick up the edges and pull them out. Due to the equipment used in mounting and removal, these slot protectors can only be reused a few times so buy in bulk and always be prepared to maintain your E track.
