Well Balanced
This works for me on many levels. It does take a small bit of assembly (4 Philips screws) but once done it is ready to rock. The learning curve is about a minute. I timed this on several coworkers who initially stepped on it timidly, but after learning the motion practically jumped on it every time thereafter (no, I don't recommend doing that) I'm a solid 250lbs and I find it well designed and balanced, and most of all, very comfortable to work on for 15-30 minute stretches. There is a handy hollow in the underside of the unit to stick your toe under to push or pull it out from under a desk. Like the balancing it takes a little while to get used to, but once you've got it you forget it was ever hard. The manual says you can go back and remove the feet later for more motion, I'm intrigued by this concept but I like the motion as it is. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review
Great addition to my workspace
Been using a sit/stand desk for a couple years now, and never really paid attention to things like this. When the chance came up to get one, I decided to give it a go. Had it for about 10 days now and LOVE it! OK, build: Solid. Simple as that. With the 4 corner pegs attached it limits the "wiggle" room, which I guess is good for starting out, but it felt TOO limiting to me, so... they came off on day 2. The main "foot" doesn't slide on my tile floor at all when standing on the board. But I use mine mainly in a carpeted room, and the board stays put. The greater tilt without the "training wheels" is fantastic. After a while I don't even think about the board, unless I'm standing at my desk and NOT on it! I've even taken to using it under my desk when sitting since it keeps my lower legs moving. Overall: Low impact, constant movement, sturdy and safe. I used to have those days where I'd get some lower leg swelling from being stationary while in the middle of some tech project. Since using this, sitting and standing, I've noticed a pronounced difference! I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review. (but after using it, I'm buying them for my team too!)
Excellent Balance Board
I have been in the AV/IT Integration space for over 30 years. I found this unit easy to setup and use with my Star Tech Sit-Stand Desktop Unit. I am 6'4" tall and weigh approximate 275 lbs. which the unit accommodated me perfectly. I enjoyed the gently movement range which particularly worked my core, calves and thighs. This is a must for the home office or traditional office setting. Very well designed and constructed.
