The C.E. Smith 32420A Trailer Coupler Lift Handle fit exactly and works well. I was replacing the coupler and decided to add this handle at the same time. The trailer is a small 4x6 aluminum ATV trailer around 30 years old. It sees a bit of use as a motorcycle trailer and hauling lumber and other various uses. The parking place for the trailer is a ways from where the vehicles are kept and so the trailer gets moved quite a bit by hand. Before the Lift Handle there was no place to grab onto the trailer to move it besides gripping under the ball coupler itself and that can lead to cut and soiled hands and the handle is a way to improve that situation. I noticed that the name of the product is "Lift Handle" and it was designed for that operation, as I intended it to be used off-label for actual overland manhandling I was prepared for mixed success. The handle worked fine for what I was hoping to use it for if not perfectly, and is an improvement over how it was being moved before. The trailer is being pulled back and forth when being parked and the lift handle works great when pulling in one direction and not great in the other which is pretty obvious when looking at the design. This item could have a variant model in the form of a D-ring with the two holes through the straight part of the D, the handle would then be a flattened ring and it would work better pulling in both directions. It wouldn't be a lift handle anymore, maybe a Park Your Trailer Handle?
The thickness of the flattened part of the item where the bolts go through is about 7mm, I had to replace bolts as the existing ones were not long enough to fit with the added thickness, not a surprise or a big problem as the hardware store had grade 5 half inch bolts in various lengths in stock.
The black plastic handle seems to be the slip on type. It didn't slip off when I was pulling backwards on it but I could see how it might one day, but even if it was off permanently the Lift Handle would still be useful.
