OK, but try using just the Davis cable nut first

Product as advertised, but honestly I thing the Davis cable nut alone would take care of both the cable and the steering rod lubrication based on my experience with both products. If you install the cable lubrication nut and loosen your existing steering rod nut you will get oil flowing out of the steering rod nut, so oil is obviously making it to that area. Fast service and shipping from Walmart.
