Ozeri pedometer

I really like this pedometer. I wanted a unit that I could just use instead of having to rely on a computer or phone to track steps and miles. This pedometer is excellent for that. I keep track of my data and enter it on a spreadsheet. Works for me!

Catches each delicate step

I love the overall design, the strap is super useful too. It's easy to use, I noticed that it had trouble setting up at first but seemed to work just fine after. We use it, my daughter and I. I love how easy it is to read and how clear the steps show. I have been able to use on daily trips walking in our neighborhood. It did shut off on me, but I found out if you carry it on your side it accurately counts the steps and won't shut off. There's a slight flaw, it does record the slightest bump. Just watch how you carry it. Other than all that it functions well with my daily exercising and my daughter's.

Holds its own against new generation trackers.

The new bluetooth activity trackers are taking over the market, but this Ozeri uses the same motion detection technology and costs half as much as the cheapest bluetooth trackers. It's a lot simpler to use because there's no fussing with bluetooth or connections--just look at the face of the meter and read the steps. The steps this Ozeri tracks are within a few percentage points (sometimes over, sometimes under) of what my iPhone records, and many consider the iPhone "state of the art" for pedometers. Of course, you have to estimate your length of stride to find mileage...whereas the iPhone uses GPS data to do that.
