Saunders Comprehensive Review for the Nclex-Pn? Examination

Saunders is known for some of the best study material for nursing students, and this has truly exceeded my expectations. I recommend this book for both a Nclex study guide, and a Hesi study guide. Listed below you will find both my pros and cons. Pros: - This book breaks down everything by body systems so it's easy to navigate - They have practice questions for each section review - They have a chapter for each body system on medication which are listed under each disease - Each section has a priority nursing actions as to what to do in a emergency case - Each chapter includes mini notes in RED that are key to know for both Hesi and Nclex - Evolve also includes online review, study guides ect with a code that comes within the book - Last but not least the book has a whole chapter explaining how to read and break down both Hesi and Nclex questions which I can say has done wonders for me to help pass my Hesi exams in nursing school Okay now it's time for my cons there aren't many but I have to be honest and share what I truly feel. Cons: - The back of this book has a comprehensive review section that I feel should be longer - My second con is the book has no pre test available to show you what sections you need improvement on - Lastly I feel this book is for nursing in general and is not specifically for PN students the material needs to be more specific to what a PN would do in certain situations rather than from a RN perspective. My over all rating is 5 stars because I have used this material, and it has been successful in helping me pass specialty Hesi exams, and retain nursing knowledge. I know this review was long, however I hope it can help someone in making a decision to use this material.
