Great quiet AC for small to medium sized room
First- this does an excellent job cooling a 200sq foot room- it will bring temp from 74 down to 68 in under an hour. It is also much quieter than the prior unit I had (was 12 years old). I can't comment on durability as I have only had it a few weeks- Installation was easy and it included some weatherstripping to help seal any gaps. I have not used the remote. The only issue that I have with the unit is that anytime you start it- it automatically starts in eco mode- and it seems to switch to eco mode overnight sometimes (at random)- this has not affected temperature more than 1 degree.

Great option for our home office addition!
After being thrown into working from home full time and being crammed into the corner of our bedroom for 3 months it was time to build an office. I knew I wanted a powerful yet quiet window unit (we permanently built ours into the wall) and this one looks nice as well (more sleek and modern than some others). It arrived ahead of schedule and is fairly quiet but I still turn it off if I'm going to be on a call or recording audio. Hopefully it stands the test of time!
