Poor design and assembly

Do not buy this product unless you are willing to spend an additional $25 assembling your own cables. The cable that was shipped to me could not be secured to the mounting hole without the possibility of it twisting and touching the metal body of the unit. The metal body of the unit is fully conductive (checked with a multimeter) and depending on gravity, how tight the screw it and forces exerted on the cable, both the negative and positive terminals may twist and touch the body thus shorting the battery terminals. The instruction manual does not say how exactly (which orientation) the cable should be attached to the body. The unit I received was poorly assembled and there was a credit card sized gap between the body and the back plate on one side. I did not take any pictures. Did not connect to a battery. 30 minutes after receiving it, drove to the nearest Walmart store and returned it.

Inverter did not work with a varying load

When I plugged in a SMALL air pump (3 watts being used) the inverter would work fine until I unplugged it and plugged it back in. Then the inverter would stop working and I would have to turn the inverter off and back on again. When I tested the inverter with an electric drill the inverter did the same thing... every time I released the trigger and depressed it again the inverter would stop working. According to the digital display the drill was only using 235 watts. Considerably less than what the inverter is rated for. I returned the inverter.
