WASH/CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Remove heartbeat device. Pillow can be machine washed. Machine wash gentle, air dry.OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS for Mother’s Heartbeat Device:• Remove batteries from packaging & install into the heartbeat device.• Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to turn ON the device.• Once turned ON, the device will shut OFF automatically in 8 hours.• Place the heartbeat device into the pocket of the pillow and close the pocket.• While in the ON mode, press and hold for 3 seconds to manually turn OFF the device.• Use the heartbeat pillow to soothe your puppy and to help it sleep.

We purchased this for our new puppy. She only whined for about 30 seconds when we put her in her crate. She only woke up once each of the first two nights and slept through the night after that. She sleeps on it or next to it. Batteries last longer than 3 days. This is a must for anyone adopting a new puppy.
