This unit was purchased from an approved InsinkErator agent as suggested by the factory as being the updated replacement for our 12 year old PRO-17A and it's working perfectly with great noice reduction and small increase in horsepower! Hello, I just wanted to add a comment in hopes that it may help someone. Firstly, I must say I love the product. Actually, this unit was a replacement for an old batch feed model, which began to leak after about 20 years. That old unit had a mechanical switch to activate the batch feed. This new model uses a clever magnetic device in the stopper to activate the motor. Because of the different stopper design, I didn't realize that the stopper apparently wasn't assembled correctly during manufacturing. The problem was, I always noticed water was being trapped inside the stopper. I also noticed the sink wouldn't hold water very well. I really didn't know what was normal, and what wasn't. At some point, I decided to remove the single screw from the bottom of the stopper, clean it out well, then reassemble the stopper with the gasket carefully positioned correctly. Ever since then, the inside of the stopper has stayed dry, and the sink holds water perfectly.
